Disney adjusts DEI plan: Returning to entertainment no longer holds high the banner of diversity

According to foreign media reports, Disney is adjusting its DEI plan. They have changed the focus of DEI work, and the company will refocus on its core entertainment business. Insiders predict that during Trump's term, Disney may become more conservative to avoid being caught up in the cultural war again.

Disney's executive compensation system reformed. In the original executive compensation structure, 70% was linked to financial goals and 30% was based on other performance indicators. Now "diversity and inclusion" is no longer an assessment item and replaced with talent strategy indicators. The original "Reimagine Tomorrow" official website that explained the DEI position was renamed "MyDisneyToday", emphasizing attracting "the best talent to drive business success."

Although "inclusion" is still listed in Disney's core corporate values (integrity, creativity, collaboration, community, inclusion), internal documents emphasize belonging rather than diversity and replace the word "fairness" with "everyone can excel."

It is worth mentioning that Disney's upcoming live-action version of "Snow White" is very controversial. Many netizens joked that "Snow White" is not white enough and called her "Black Snow Princess". Instead, the evil queen is more beautiful.
