Borderlands: Treasure Hunter "Maniac" Actor Revealed

Borderlands: Treasure Hunter "Maniac" Actor Revealed

The new cast of the Borderlands live-action movie has been revealed. Florian Munteanu joins the cast as Krieg the Psycho. Krieg is a treasure hunter in Borderlands 2, struggling with his own mental illness and bandit lifestyle. He is described as a driver who controls a runaway truck: still dangerous, but trying to avoid as many innocent people as possible.

Munteanu was originally a boxer, and later joined the showbiz industry, so he himself is not very famous. Eli Roth, the director of the movie "Borderlands", said that Krieg is a difficult role to play.

“Florian brings real humanity and layers to a character who on the surface seems completely crazy and savage. Krieg was by far the most difficult role to play and Florian brought it to life and grounded it in a way that I didn’t think was possible. He will be a fantastic Krieg and will fit perfectly into our strong cast.”

In addition to Florian, the rest of the cast of Borderlands are big-name actors:

Jack Black (voice)

Tannis: Jamie Lee Curtis

Roland: Kevin Hart

Lilith: Cate Blanchett

Tiny Tina: Ariana Greenblatt

With the addition of Krieg and Tiny Tina, it also makes players curious about where the story of the Borderlands movie will develop. Because Tina was added in Borderlands 2, and Krieg, a playable character, was added through the Borderlands 2 DLC.

In addition to the above characters, the movie should have a large number of cast members that have not been announced, such as treasure hunter Mordecai, Brick, and a large number of NPC characters, such as Mossy, Marcus, Angel, etc.

The Borderlands movie script comes from Craig Mazin, the screenwriter of Chernobyl and The Last of Us. It is not clear when the movie will start shooting and when it will be released. Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford and Take Two boss Strauss Zelnick serve as part-time workers to ensure that this live-action movie is faithful to the game.
