Chen Jialin is a Chinese film and television director, originally from Zunhua, Hebei, and was born in Nanjing. In 1955, he starred in the film "Luo Xiaolin's Determination". In 1965, he graduated from the Performance Department of Beijing Film Academy. Later, he joined Changchun Film Studio as an actor. In 1979, he became a director. In the early stage of his career, he directed films such as "Flying Cranes", "Tan Sitong", "The Last Empress", and "Baise Uprising". Later, he turned to the field of TV drama production and excelled in costume dramas, including "Tang Minghuang", "Wang Zhaojun", "Empress Wu Zetian", "Kangxi Dynasty", and "Taiping Heavenly Kingdom". |
