The classic action thriller "Face/Off" directed by John Woo was released in the United States in June 1997. More than 20 years later, Hollywood decided to shoot a direct sequel to this movie, but the director is no longer John Woo, but Adam Wingard, the director of "Godzilla vs. Kong", and produced by Paramount Pictures. According to THR, Oren Uziel (22 Jump Street, The Cloverfield Paradox) was previously in the role of screenwriter, but now starting from scratch, Wingard and his old partner Simon Barrett are writing the script. "Face/Off" is directed by Hong Kong director John Woo. It tells the story of an FBI agent (played by Travolta) and a terrorist robber (played by Cage) who exchange identities through "face-changing" technology and eventually defeat the robber. The film had a budget of 80 million US dollars and grossed 246 million US dollars worldwide. |
