Tencent Animation and Yuewen join hands to launch the plan to adapt 300 online novels into comics

Recently, Tencent Animation and Yuewen Animation made their first joint appearance and jointly held a closed-door exchange meeting for creators. At the meeting, a plan was announced: to launch a plan to adapt online novels into comics and jointly promote the comic adaptation of 300 Yuewen novels.

The list of comic adaptations includes "The Night Watchman of Dafeng", "The Immortal Official of Da Zhou", "The First Sequence", "Shao Song", "Apocalypse Forecast", "The Tribulation of All Races", "Asking Danzhu", "The Little Elder", "The Rest of My Life With You, Sweet and Warm" , etc.

Tencent will provide more practical support to original authors in planning, editing, operation, derivative adaptation and other links. Cheng Wu, Vice President of Tencent Group, CEO of China Literature Group, CEO of Tencent Pictures, and Chairman of Tencent Animation, said: "We hope to further help those works and stories that have the conditions to undergo comprehensive and layered 'deep processing', and ultimately create Chinese cultural symbols that are well-known to every household or even world-renowned ."

Tencent said that the number of original Chinese animations is still limited. Compared with the speed and efficiency of TV series and movies, the production capacity of animation is not enough. In addition, emerging content industries such as short videos are also "eating away" the time for animation.

From online literature to animation, and then from animation to film and television dramas, animation plays a very important role in promoting and connecting.

At present, in China, "Once Upon a Time There Was a Spirit Sword Mountain", "The King's Avatar", "Fights Break Sphere", "Douluo Dalu" and other works are all popular comic adaptations.
