Wonder Woman actor to star in Dungeons & Dragons movie

According to foreign media Hollywoodreporter, Chris Pine, the male lead of the "Star Trek" series and "Wonder Woman 1984", is in talks with Paramount to star in the live-action "Dungeons & Dragons" movie.

It is reported that Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, directors of "Spider-Man: Homecoming", will direct the film, which is adapted from the popular role-playing board game. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley have written the latest version of the script based on Michael Gilio's previous draft.

"Dungeons & Dragons" was originally a tabletop game, and later spawned related products such as books, online games and movies. It has a huge fan base around the world. The series launched a live-action movie in 2000, starring Jeremy Irons, and two sequels were filmed in 2005 and 2012.

At present, no further information has been released about the "Dungeons & Dragons" movie. The film was originally scheduled to be released on July 23, 2021, but due to the epidemic, the release date has been postponed to May 27, 2022.
