Five Nights at Freddy's creator Scott Cawthon recently took to Reddit to share some "bad news" about the Five Nights at Freddy's movie that was announced two years ago. At the time, Cawthon wrote, "It's going to be a real challenge for everyone, myself included, to come up with great writers for the movie," and that he's going to turn down as many scripts as possible. The scripts come from a variety of sources, such as major studios, big directors, hired writers, and of course Cawthon himself. Cawthon gave a brief introduction to some of these scripts in his recent post on Reddit. He also listed the reasons for rejecting each script. For example, one of the scripts code-named "Plushies Take Manhattan" is about a teddy bear that enters Manhattan to wreak havoc and eventually burns to death. Cawthon said that this script is very boring and he doesn't like it at all. Finally, Cawthon came across a script codenamed "Mike", which he said had the best content that all previous scripts had not had, and he was very satisfied with both the story and the characters. "Why didn't I think of such content before?" He wrote: "The 'bad news' is that he can't refuse more scripts, and the film will start shooting in the spring!" |
