Jack Quaid voiced Clark Kent/Superman in the animated series My Adventures with Superman, but when he auditioned for James Gunn's new live-action Superman film, things didn't go well. He recently told a podcast that he sent Gunn an audition tape and that was it. He said: "There is absolutely no chance... It's nothing." Quaid said that although he had voiced Superman, he "didn't meet the physical requirements at all." He said he didn't mind not getting the role and that it was "cool" to audition for such an important role. Quaid also praised David Cronthwaite, who eventually landed the role, saying "that guy is Superman." Quaid stars in the Amazon series The Boys, which aired its final episode of Season 4 this week, playing the character of Huey. As for Gunn's Superman movie, it is scheduled to be released in July 2025. Nicholas Hoult will play Lex Luthor and Rachel Brosnahan will play Lois Lane. |
