Recently, streaming giant Netflix acquired the international distribution rights of Tom Hanks' new film "News of the World" from Universal Pictures. The film is expected to be released on Netflix in 2021. "News of the World" is directed by Paul Greengrass and stars Tom Hanks and Helena Zengel. The film is set in 1870, when the old captain Jefferson Kyle Kidd was traveling through Texas and was entrusted with taking a little girl whose parents had died and who had been kidnapped to find her relatives. It is reported that Universal Pictures still owns the North American theatrical distribution rights for the film, which will be released on Christmas Day, December 25. |
