The movie version of "Resident Evil" announced to be restarted and the plot of the first and second generations will be restored

Capcom's classic survival horror series "Resident Evil" is about to return to the big screen, and this time they decided to "start over from a new universe consisting of the characters and plots in the game."

The latest film version of "Resident Evil" is currently in preparation. The film version is still in the hands of the German studio Constantin Film, and this time they will cooperate with the writer and director Johannes Roberts ("The Meg").

The reboot will start with the original story, set in "the fateful night in Raccoon City in 1998", and this time they promise to "faithfully connect" to Capcom's classic horror game plot. But to be honest, even if Big Bear, Little Bear, and Bald Qiang were added to the movie, it would be more faithful than the "Resident Evil" shot by the Andersons. Now the couple is ruining "Monster Hunter".

The new film's director Roberts explained: "In this movie, I want to return to the first two games and re-present the deep fear I felt when I first played these two games, while showing an American town gradually dying. In the end, tell a reasonable story that today's fans can accept."

The reboot of Resident Evil is expected to be released next year. Claire is played by Kaya Scodelario in Maze Runner, Jill is played by Hannah John-Kamen, the "ghost girl" in Ant-Man 2, Chris is played by Robbie Amell in Upload, and Avan Jogia in Zombieland 2 plays Leon. Tom Hopper in The Umbrella Academy plays Wesker, and Neal McDonough in Yellowstone and Arrow plays William Birken.

However, this isn’t the only Resident Evil adaptation in the works. Netflix is also working on two Resident Evil adaptations, one is a CG animated Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness starring Leon and Claire, which will be released next year, and the other live-action series is a bit weird, focusing on Wesker’s younger descendants.

Cast:

Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield

Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine

Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield
