The new Batman independent film will resume filming in early September and will be completed before the end of the year

According to Deadline, the independent film "The Batman" directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson is finally expected to resume production. Due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus, the new "Batman" film stopped filming in March this year. At present, the crew will return to the UK in September this year to continue filming, and it is expected to be completed before the end of the year. The film has now been postponed to October 1, 2021 in North America.

According to director Matt Reeves, about a quarter of the new "Batman" was completed before the filming was suspended in March. In the future, the new "Batman" will hold a QA at DC FanDome on August 22, and will officially start on August 23, Beijing time, as planned. It will answer fans' questions and bring "one or two surprises to fans."

Currently, the new version of "Batman" will be released in North America on October 1, 2021. British actor Robert Pattinson will play Batman in the new "Batman", famous Hollywood actor Colin Farrell will play the Penguin, black actress Zoë Kravitz will play Catwoman, Andy Serkis will play the butler Alfred, Paul Dano will play the Riddler, and black actor Jeffrey Wright will play Sheriff Gordon.

Director Matt Reeves said that he and his partner spent two years writing the script, hoping to create the feeling of a suspense film and a noir film. He said the film paid tribute to the classic comic "Batman: Year One", but it was not shot exactly like it.
