The vampire movie "Van Helsing" starring "Uncle Wolf" will be adapted into a TV series 20 years after its release

The vampire action movie "Van Helsing", written and directed by Stephen Sommers and starring "Uncle Wolf" Hugh Jackman and "Underworld" series actress Kate Beckinsale, was originally released in the United States on May 3, 2004.

Although this story about vampire hunter Van Helsing's fight against evil forces in Eastern Europe in the late 19th century has achieved a considerable box office of $300 million worldwide and has been nominated for multiple film awards (it won the 31st American Film and Television Saturn Award for Best Original Score), the film's freshness score on Rotten Tomatoes is only 24%.

Recently, foreign media reported that the film will be adapted into a TV series of the same name. Of course, there have been rumors that James Wan was invited to reboot "Van Helsing", but this series is different because the story is set in modern New York.

It is understood that the TV series "Van Helsing" will be produced by CBS, written by Jonathan Lee, the producer of the documentary "Who Killed Jill Dando", and Rob Doherty, the creator of "Elementary", will serve as the executive producer of the show. Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale will return to star. The story tells the experience of monster hunter Dr. Abraham Van Helsing teaming up with "ruthless" FBI agent Mina Harker (who happens to be his ex-wife) to solve supernatural cases around New York City.
