According to the latest report from foreign media Deadline, after a long search, Paramount and Hasbro decided to let Steven Caple Jr., the director of "Creed: Rise of the Heroes", to direct the new "Transformers" movie. Deadline has learned from insiders that although formal negotiations have not yet begun, Stephen Caple Jr. is the first choice of film executives and producers, and relevant matters will be completed in the coming weeks. In January of this year, the film company decided to make a major transformation of the Transformers series, and two scripts were developed simultaneously, one of which was written by Paramount's James Vanderbilt (Independence Day 2) and the other was written by Joby Harold (Edge of Tomorrow). Joby Harold's script was finally adopted, and after the final polish of the script was made at the end of this summer, they began to look for a suitable director for the film. Stephen Caple Jr. is best known for his role in Creed II, starring Michael B. Jordan, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and MGM. |
