Justice League's director's cut is a costly rethinking of the original

Zack Snyder's director's cut of the DC movie "Justice League" will be released on HBO Max next year. In a recent podcast, Warner Media Chairman Bob Greenblatt talked about this and said that this project is far more complicated than everyone imagined.

"It's not like you can just go into the vault and there's a Zack Snyder cut sitting there and pull it out. It doesn't exist," Greenblatt said. "Zack is actually building it, and it's complex, with new effects shots. It's a complete rethinking of the movie, and it's expensive. I wish it only cost $30 million and that was it. It's a huge project, and it's very complex."

Sources previously revealed that the Snyder Cut will not involve reshoots. However, post-production, special effects, soundtracks, and dialogues are all necessary. When the Snyder Cut was officially announced last week, Bob Greenblatt also talked about the reason for this unusual decision - the fans' cry. "Since I came here 14 months ago, the call for 'Release the Snyder Cut' has been knocking on our offices and inboxes every day. Well, since the fans are asking for it, we're happy to finally respond."

The director's cut of "Justice League" will be available on Warner's streaming service HBO Max in 2021. It is reported that the film is 4 hours long and may be broadcast in 6 episodes.
