The list of nominees for the 11th China Film Golden Broom Awards has been announced. Among them, the films nominated for the Most Disappointing Film include "Shanghai Fortress", "Zhu Xian I", "The Ex", "More Than Blue", "Fall in Love at First Kiss", "Detective Pu Songling", "Somewhere in Winter", "The Whistleblower", "The Evolution of the Best Boyfriend", and "The Ice Storm". Among them, "Shanghai Fortress" is a science fiction film released in August 2019, directed by Teng Huatao and starring Lu Han and Shu Qi. The film scored only 3.4 points on Douban one day after its release, with more than 58% of people giving it a one-star rating. At the time, the official Weibo account of Shanghai Fortress posted four messages in a row, "Is this a bad movie???" to respond to the criticism, but the official Weibo account later deleted the post and apologized. In addition, "Shanghai Fortress" was nominated for the Most Disappointing Director and the Most Disappointing Screenwriter at the 11th China Film Golden Broom Awards.
