Affected by the epidemic, Warner Bros. suspended the filming of the new Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson on the 14th of last month. At that time, Warner Bros. only announced a two-week suspension of filming, but now it has been almost a month and there is still no sign of restarting. Director Matt Reeves said in an interview with foreign media that only a quarter of the film has been shot so far, and now we can only wait for the epidemic to ease. The film is scheduled to be released in North America on June 25, 2021. I don’t know whether the stagnation of filming will affect the release date of the film.

In addition, Matt Reeves also introduced how he will shape Bruce Wayne and revealed some of his creative ideas about "Batman".

Regarding Bruce, he said: "What I want to do is not an origin story, but of course a story influenced by the origin. It is the origin that shapes Bruce Wayne. He is an extremely struggling person, and what we want to tell is the story of him trying to rise from the struggle. Bruce does not fully understand (this struggle), what is important is the whole shadow itself and to what extent you can integrate with it."

Matt Reeves said that he and his partner spent two years crafting the script, hoping to create a sense of suspense and film noir. He said the film paid tribute to the classic comic "Batman: Year One", but it was not shot completely according to it. He said: "Some things are more psychological, and they will also explore the corruption in Gotham. It is very relevant to the current reality. There are stories of corruption in every era, but now, this topic seems particularly relevant."

The new version of Batman is played by Robert Pattinson, and also stars Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as the butler Alfred, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. It will be released in North America on June 25 next year.
