"Monster Hunter" movie production ends, Netflix's "Resident Evil" delays production

Recently, Constantin Films announced the project progress of several of its game-adapted film and television works. The movie "Monster Hunter" starring Milla Jovovich has been completed. Netflix's new "Resident Evil" series has been shelved due to the epidemic.

The movie "Monster Hunter" is adapted from the game of the same name. It is directed by Paul Anderson, Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, and Ron Perlman. It tells the story of monster hunters who accidentally enter a strange and brutal world and need to avoid the pursuit of deadly monsters such as spiders and dragons in order to find their way home. At present, the film has been completed and is scheduled to be released in North America on September 4, 2020.

The "Resident Evil" series developed by Netflix will tell a brand new story based on the original "Resident Evil" movie universe, and Milla will no longer appear in it. The main filming location of the series is in South Africa. It was originally scheduled to start pre-production in April this year and officially shoot in June. Now due to the epidemic, the plan has been shelved.
