Sci-fi comic-adapted animation "AI Electronic Gene" will be broadcast in July and produced by Madhouse

The official website of the TV anime adaptation of Japanese manga artist Yamada Hugua's work "AI Electronic Gene" has announced that the anime will premiere in July. The news of the manga adaptation into TV anime was first announced in December 2022.

The anime is set in the near future, when nearly 1/10 of the world's population is "bionic people" - humanoid robots and artificial life. These androids have been accepted as normal members of society, but they still have their own problems and diseases. The comic story revolves around the android medical expert Hikaru Sudo, and follows his perspective to observe the various aspects of androids.

The animation will be produced by Madhouse, supervised by Yuzo Sato (Legend of the Card Game), Ryunosuke Kanetsuki in charge of series composition and script, Kei Tsuchiya in charge of character design and general animation supervision, and Oma Noriaki and Natsumi Tabuchi in charge of music.

The protagonist Hikaru Sudo will be voiced by Tsuyo Otsuka, and the heroine Lisa Higuchi will be voiced by Yuume Miyamoto.
