Director Gunn recommends: 10 underrated movies to watch during quarantine

Nowadays, people all over the world have begun to maintain a safe social distance and stay at home to fight the spread of the new coronavirus. In addition to playing games, movies and TV are also a means of entertainment for many people at home. For this reason, our familiar "Gunn" Jame Gunn shared with fans around the world 10 of what he considers to be "the most underrated/little-known blockbusters", and encouraged others to list their own choices and exchange with each other to enrich their "movie inventory" during home isolation. The following are the ten movies carefully listed by Gunn.

"Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" (1969)

Bob and Carol are a couple in California. They are open-minded and like to share their married life with others. Ted and Alice are a very traditional couple. They like to gossip and talk about the evidence they have collected. Until they get an invitation from another couple: to sleep in the same bed. The film discusses the separation of sex and love in marriage and the avant-garde topic of sexual liberation, and was later adapted into a TV series.

·"Evil Girl (악녀)" (2017)

"The Villain" is a crime action film directed by Zheng Bingji, starring Kim Ok-bin and Shin Ha-kyun, with Sheng Jun and Kim Seo-hyung participating. It was released in South Korea on June 8, 2017. The film tells the story of Kim Sook-hee, a female killer who was trained to be a killing machine and took revenge on the killer organization after learning about her life experience.

Pretty Poison (1968)

Noel Blake's surreal black comedy stars Anthony Perkins, a psychopath, as a troubled arsonist who stumbles upon the innocent model student Tasda Wilde and falls for her. He eventually discovers she's a cold-blooded female killer.

The Wanderers (1979)

In the early 1960s in the Bronx, New York, a group of teenage gangs (street gangs) faced various provocations from rival gangs and had a deeper understanding of friendship, family, sexual desire and the rapidly changing times. The film was directed by Rolling and became the most bizarre and beautiful street gang movie ever, and it did have a certain impact on young people in society around the world in the 1980s.

·"Mother (마더)" (2009)

Because her son Yin Taiyu is mentally retarded, his mother (Kim Hye-ja) is always worried that he will get hurt. One day, Taiyu was hit by a Mercedes-Benz car. His friend Zhentai (Jin Jiu) took him to the golf course to seek revenge on the professor who drove the car, but was taken back to the police station. Because Zhentai kicked the rearview mirror and broke it, the professor asked them for compensation, and Taiyu was used as a shield. After leaving the police station, after dinner at home, Taiyu went to find Zhentai to drink, but at this time Zhentai took advantage of the night to return to the golf course and found the club thrown into the lake during the day.

After drinking, Tae-woo followed a female student named Wen Ya-jung, and the next day, Ya-jung's body was found on the roof. Tae-woo was taken back to the police station as the only suspect, and then he signed a confession under the threat of the police. Upon learning that her son was in prison, his anxious mother commissioned a famous lawyer to overturn his case. However, Tae-woo's illness affected his memory, and his mother faltered on the road to redressing her son's injustice...
