After the huge success of "The Invisible Man", James Wan will produce monster horror movies for Universal again

According to foreign media reports, James Wan is developing a monster movie for Universal Pictures. The style is a bit like "Rear Window", telling the story of a group of young people discovering a monster in the basement of their neighbor's house. James Wan will not be the director, but his Atomic Monster will produce the film.

Robbie Thompson, a long-time screenwriter for Supernatural, wrote the script. The story of the film will be based on the classic monster images owned by Universal Pictures and adapted in a modern way. The style of the film will be similar to Rear Window, with a group of young people discovering a monster in the basement of their neighbor's house. Of course, the monster ran out.

Some media believe that the plot description reminds people of Frankenstein. The recent box office success of the new "The Invisible Man" may make Universal more willing to try to use new stories adapted from classic IPs to create small and medium-cost monster/horror films.
