Mega Man movie still in production, Batman screenwriter joins

Few game characters can surpass the status of Mega Man, a character that was created in the 1980s and subsequently created an entire robot world with multiple games and anime series. Hollywood has been very interested in live-action movies adapted from animation in recent years, so Mega Man is naturally on the list of film adaptation plans.

In 2015, 20th Century Fox purchased the film adaptation rights of "Mega Man" from Capcom, but later Fox was acquired by Disney, and the plan seemed to be temporarily shelved because Disney's strategy for Fox was to let them develop more mature IP.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Batman co-writer Matt Tomlin has joined the Mega Man movie and will write the script for the film. He also confirmed it on Twitter.

There is no other information about the Mega Man movie project, but at least the project is still progressing, which is better than being shelved. In addition, I hope the filmmakers will not mess with the iconic proportions and body materials of the characters like Sonic the Hedgehog did. Considering that the robot's armor shell is impossible to grow hair, we don't have to worry about this.
