Tipster Dijkstra to join The Witcher TV series in second season

Although Netflix's latest adaptation of The Witcher has received mixed reviews, it is still a very successful show overall, so the second season has already been scheduled. According to the latest confirmed news, the important character who appeared in The Witcher 3, the bald intelligence dealer Dijkstra, will appear in the second season.

The actor who will play Dijkstra has not yet been confirmed, but one of the first actors to audition is Graham McTavish. He is a Scottish actor who has appeared in films such as "The Hobbit", "Battlefield", "Preacher", "Lucifer" and "Castlevania". He auditioned for the second season of "The Witcher" last week, and we can see a dialogue with Dijkstra's personality characteristics from the audition footage released so far.

Sigismund Dijkstra is a well-known behind-the-scenes manipulator who basically controls all the underground gangs in the northern city of Novigrad. It is very exciting to see a real person play this complex role in the series. The story involved in Dijkstra may be very complicated, and he may be the key clue figure or even the initiator of many major events.

In this audition scene, his character is named David to avoid spoilers. This dialogue was also specially written by Lauren Hissrich and her team to avoid leaking any details in advance. Even the names of the characters in the first season correspond to different aliases in this scene.

McTavish's audition video was initially leaked by Redanian Intelligence. Usually, audition videos of actors are kept until the final casting or the series is released, but this video was quickly deleted from Vimeo, and Redanian Intelligence successfully saved the video. Although the specific situation is still unknown, it is certain that the role of Dijkstra will definitely appear in the second season of "The Witcher".

The second season of "The Witcher" will not return until 2021. However, Netflix announced that it will launch another "The Witcher" animated film, which is also worth looking forward to for novel readers and game players.
