Warner Bros. to film disaster film "Moonfall" about the moon colliding with the earth

Warner will invest in the disaster film "Moonfall", which will be directed by Roland Emmerich, the director of "The Day After Tomorrow" and "2012". He and Harold Klusser ("2012", "The Day After Tomorrow") and Spencer Cohen ("Extinction") will co-write the script.

The film tells the story of a disaster that causes a mysterious force to cause the moon to leave its original orbit and fly towards the earth. With little time left, a team of people from the lower classes launch a final attack on the moon, hoping to solve the mystery and save the earth from destruction.

In reality, scientists have shown that due to the influence of the tidal system between the Earth and the Moon, the Moon is moving away from the Earth at a distance of 3.8 centimeters per year. The Earth's rotation rate is slowly slowing down until it is the same as the Moon's. At that time, the Moon will no longer retreat outward, but move toward the Earth. In 65 billion years, the Moon and the Earth will collide.
