"Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow" is scheduled to be released in June 2026, starring the actress of "House of the Dragon"

Recently, Warner announced that "Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow", the reboot of the DC Universe, will be released on June 26, 2026. This is the second big-screen work scheduled after James Gunn and Peter Safran took office as CEO of DC Films.

"Supergirl: Girl of Tomorrow" was originally a spin-off of "The Flash", starring Sasha Carey, who played Supergirl in "The Flash". But after James Gunn took office, the DC Universe was rebooted, and Millie Alcock, the actress of the American TV series "House of the Dragon", took over and will play Supergirl.

The director was Craig Gillespie, who had directed "Cruella: The Dark World" and "I, Tonya".

The plot of "Supergirl" will continue "Superman: Legacy" directed by James Gunn. Inspired by Tom King's comics, the Supergirl in this movie will be more hardcore.

Earlier, Gunn said: "We can see the difference between Supergirl and Superman. Superman was sent to Earth as a baby and raised by loving parents. Supergirl grew up on a rock on Krypton. In the first 14 years of her life, she watched the people around her die and were killed in terrible ways."
