Golden Globe nominations announced, "Marriage Story" and "Chernobyl" lead

On December 9, the complete list of nominations for the 2020 Golden Globe Awards for American Film and Television was announced, and Netflix dominated all lines: in the movie category, "Marriage Story" led with 6 nominations, "The Irishman" and "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" were nominated with 5 nominations, and "Joker" was nominated with 4 nominations, "Knives Out", "Parasite", "1917" and "Rocketman" were nominated with 3 nominations, and "The Farewell" was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film (foreign language films are not nominated for Best Film) and Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy; in the TV series category, "Chernobyl", "Unbelievable" and "The Crown" led with 4 nominations, and "Fleabag", "Big Little Lies" and "Barry" were nominated with 3 nominations.

In terms of platforms, Netflix received the most nominations in both the movie and TV series categories, with 17 nominations each; in the movie category, Sony received 8 nominations, and Disney and Warner received 6 nominations; in the TV series category, HBO received 15 nominations, followed by Hulu and Amazon with 5 nominations. The awards will be presented on January 5 next year.
