"Ghostbusters: Afterlife" first trailer reveals "Ant-Man" and "Ghostbusters" starring

Sony Pictures has just released the first trailer for the new sequel to "Ghostbusters", "Ghostbusters: Afterlife", which is scheduled to be released in North America in summer 2020.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is the sequel to the 1984 Ghostbusters. In the trailer, Ant-Man Paul Rudd and Sigourney Weaver appear, while Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Captain Marvel Jr. Mckenna Grace play the grandchildren of one of the protagonists in the old Ghostbusters movie. It is worth mentioning that Finn has cosplayed Ghostbusters with his friends in Stranger Things.

The new version of the film tells the story of a woman who moves to the country with her two children and gradually discovers her connection to the Ghostbusters and the mysterious legacy left by her grandfather.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is directed by Jason Reitman, and his father Ivan Reitman, who also directed and produced the 1984 Ghostbusters, will serve as producer.

The 1984 version of "Ghostbusters" starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver and others, telling the comedy adventure of the "Ghostbusters" to save New York. The film grossed $242 million in the United States and $295 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing comedy film at the time, and was nominated for Best Visual Effects and Best Original Song at the 57th Academy Awards in 1985.
