Previously, Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter had been arguing over whether "Joker" would produce a sequel. Today (November 22), "Joker" director Todd Phillips responded positively to the rumors about the sequel of the film. He said: The sequel is not currently in progress.

Recently, THR learned that the sequel to "Joker" has entered the preparation and development stage. Warner Bros. and director Todd Phillips are in negotiation, and it is said that Todd is expected to continue to develop other DC character origin stories.
