According to foreign media reports recently, the new version of "Batman" independent film directed by director Matt Reeves will have two well-known actors joining, namely Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell. Andy Serkis (Gollum in The Lord of the Rings) is set to play the master's butler Alfred, while Colin Farrell may play the villain "Penguin". Both are currently in talks with Warner. Warner has not yet confirmed the above candidates. The currently confirmed cast of the film is Robert Pattinson as Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon. The film's preparatory work has started this summer, and the official shooting will begin at the end of this year or early next year. The director is Matt Reeves, who filmed "Planet of the Apes".
