Sylvester Stallone's "Rambo 5" only scored 4.5 points on IGN, as superficial as a teenager's delusion!

Stallone's new masterpiece "Rambo: First Blood" will be released in North American theaters tomorrow, September 20, and its media ratings are officially released today. IGN's editors did not show any mercy to the 73-year-old Rambo, giving him a shockingly low score and saying that the movie is very superficial.

IGN "Rambo 5" score 4.5 points - poor

"Rambo's Rambo 5 is the epitome of almost everything wrong with the action series over the years."

Critics believe that the film is too exaggerated with straightforward violence and ridiculous gore. Rambo was originally intended to be a symbol of the tragedy of war on soldiers, but now it is just an undead self-propelled human machine gun. Moreover, the filmmakers portrayed Mexico as an endless wasteland full of crime and death. All Latin Americans on the screen are stereotyped criminals. Although Rambo's movies rarely respect culture, in 2019, such widespread stereotypes are offensive, outdated, and completely irresponsible.

IGN's overall review:

"In Rambo: First Blood, the Rambo series continues its trend of extreme violence, shallow characterization, and irresponsible political guidance; the film's gore exceeds that of a horror film, and some of the actions are portrayed as legitimate villains. Unfortunately, this is almost like the dark fantasy of an angry middle school student."

In addition, the film's freshness on Rotten Tomatoes is only 46%, which is surprisingly consistent with IGN's score. As for the rating aggregation site Metacritic, the average score of "Rambo 5" is only an even more tragic 38 points (but there are only 4 media reviews at present).
