Venom 2 is set to start filming in November, director says the style will continue to be "dark and wild"

Sony's superhero movie "Venom 2" has been confirmed to start shooting in London on November 18 this year, and the film is expected to be released in North America on October 2, 2020.

Venom 2 is directed by Andy Serkis, with Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams returning to play the male and female protagonists respectively. In addition, Carnage (played by Woody Harrison), who appeared in the post-credits scene of the first film, will also return.

Andy Serkis previously revealed the style of Venom 2 in an interview with the media. He said that the overall tone of Venom 2 will remain consistent with the series, "because I think the points of the opening movie are very precise and on point. In this respect, it is very successful. So you can expect that the overall tone of the second part will not change much - it will still be dark and wild."

In recent years, Sony has been planning to create its own Marvel character superhero movie universe - "Spider-Man Universe". In addition to "Spider-Man", the existing movies in this universe also include "Venom". There are 900 Marvel comic characters that may appear in the future, and many movies are already in preparation or filming, such as "Venom 2" and "Morbius" and "Silver Sable and Black Cat" starring Jared Leto.
