The script of "Doctor Strange 2" is still in the works and it is the first horror film in MCU

Since "Scarlet Witch" Elizabeth Olsen announced that she would join "Doctor Strange 2", the two major Marvel magic characters finally joined forces, and the fans' expectations have doubled. Recently, Olsen was interviewed about the film and said that the script is still being written and she is looking forward to working with Benny.

Olsen said: "I think the script is still in the works, and I don't know the details. But I'm very much looking forward to this film. I haven't really worked with Benny before, except for a shot in the ultimate battle of "Avengers 4" when Doctor Strange fell from the sky and I was using a big move. We shot that group scene for 6 hours a day."

When asked how much the plot of "WandaVision" will be linked to "Doctor Strange 2", Olsen answered very cautiously: "Yes, this TV series will be linked to the plot of the movie, and the script of the movie is also being written, but I know very little about the plot."

Regarding Doctor Strange 2, the director of the previous film, Scott Derrickson, has confirmed his return to direct, and this sequel will also be Marvel's first horror film in history. Doctor Strange will encounter the villain Nightmare in the comics. The movie will be released in North America on May 7, 2021.

As for WandaVision, the lead actor Paul Bettany once described the show as: It starts out like an American sitcom, then slowly turns into a chaotic and crazy world, and finally connects to an epic Marvel movie. This movie is Doctor Strange 2. WandaVision will premiere on the Disney+ streaming platform in the spring of 2021.
