Netflix's The Witcher TV series has no "real" villain and is very adult

As the "White Wolf" of the demon hunter Geralt, whether in novels or games, whether human or monster, Geralt has many enemies. Recently, in an interview with foreign media Entertainment Weekly, Lauren S. Hissrich, the producer of Netflix's "The Witcher" TV series, talked about the lack of a major villain in the show.

Previously, Lauren S. Hissrich, the producer of "The Witcher" TV series, also talked about the fact that the show will draw more inspiration from the novels. At the same time, there is indeed no "real" villain in the TV series, and the show will explore more "various gray dark sides" from the novels.

Producer Lauren S. Hissrich said in an interview: "It's no secret that there is no real villain in the TV series . (Hissrich was asked about the details of the villain in the play before, but she did not reveal it.) I am very interested in exploring the various 'dark sides of gray' in the novel."

Meanwhile, Hissrich also joked that the audience's feelings towards the characters in the show may change because the characters that everyone likes may be replaced by others. Hissrich said: " The character you support at first may not be the character you support in the end , but the character that you hate and seems very evil is born out of humanity and emotions. I found that after writing the book and watching the show, your favorite characters may keep switching. The audience always tries to put themselves into the favorite characters, so think about what you will do in certain situations? I think you will end up with a lot of pity for the characters you never thought you would sympathize with. "

In addition, Lauren S. Hissrich also talked about what she said before in January, that the TV series "The Witcher" is still very "adult-oriented" and not suitable for children. She emphasized that violence and sex are to advance the plot rather than to attract attention . When she showed it to her children before, her 5-year-old child was scared.

Netflix's The Witcher TV series is expected to be launched on December 20, 2019 in eight episodes.
