The Angry Birds 2 is set to be released in China on August 16

The mainland release date of "The Angry Birds 2", an animated film adapted from the game, which has been confirmed to be released in mainland China, seems to have been revealed. Multiple parties including "Wanda Films" have confirmed that "The Angry Birds 2" will be released in mainland China on August 16, two days later than its release in North America on August 14.

"The Angry Birds 2" is an animated film co-directed by John Rhys and Anthony Leondis, with voice acting by Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride and others. It tells the story of Red and Piggy encountering a new villain, and their long-time enemies having to put aside their disputes, turn enemies into friends, form alliances to fight against evil forces, and embark on a new adventure.

Although the release date is still subject to further official confirmation, the mainland release date of August 16th seems to be very reliable at present.
