Famous director Mamoru Oshii's new animated film "VLADLOVE" is scheduled to be released in 2020

The animated film, which was originally written and directed by the famous director Mamoru Oshii and is said to have been 10 years in the making, was announced yesterday (26th). The title of the film is "VLAD LOVE" and is scheduled to be released in 2020.

Mamoru Oshii was born on August 8, 1951 in Ota-ku, Tokyo, Japan. He is a Japanese animation director and film director. In 1980, he directed his first animated TV series, The Wonderful Adventures of Nils, which started his directorial career. In 1988, he served as the director of the science fiction animated film Patlabor. In 1995, he directed the science fiction animated film Ghost in the Shell. In 2004, he was nominated for the Best Animated Film Director Award at the 44th Annie Awards for the science fiction animated film Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. In 2008, his animated film Sky Killer won the Future Digital Film Award at the 65th Venice International Film Festival.

"VLADLOVE" will be produced by the new animation company "Ichigo" which was just established in May. It is scheduled to be released in 2020. More details about the new animated film "VLADLOVE" will be released in due course, so stay tuned.
