Tim Burton's new film Beetlejuice 2 grossed $13 million in North American advance screenings (Wednesday and Thursday this week in North America), which is the same as the advance screening results of Inside Out 2 and second only to the $38.5 million of Deadpool and Wolverine, setting the second best North American advance screening result this year. This performance is only $500,000 away from the best advance screening result of $13.5 million in horror film history created by IT in 2017. Beetlejuice: Reborn opened in 4,575 theaters in North America this Friday, making it the largest-scale North American release in Warner Bros.' history. Foreign media predicts that the film's North American box office will exceed $100 million in the first three days of the weekend. The film cost $100 million to produce, and currently has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 77% (232 reviews) and a popcorn rating of 84%. |
