Guan Hu's anti-Japanese war film "Eight Hundred" cancels summer release date and will announce new release date

The official Weibo account of the movie "Eight Hundred" recently announced the news: After consultation between the film company and all parties, the arrangement of the release originally scheduled for July 5 was cancelled, and the summer vacation schedule will be temporarily postponed. The new release date will be announced at a later date.

The Eight Hundred (English: The Eight Hundred) is directed by Guan Hu and stars Huang Zhizhong, Zhang Junyi, Ou Hao, Zhang Cheng, Wang Qianyuan, Jiang Wu, Zhang Yi, Du Chun, Zhang Youhao, Wei Chen, Li Chen, Yu Ailei, Yu Haoming, and Zheng Kai. The film tells the story of the heroic deeds of the Nationalist soldiers in the Sihang Warehouse during the Battle of Songhu in 1937, who fought for three days and three nights and resisted for four days and four nights. The film was originally scheduled to be released in China on July 5, 2019. It is the first film in Asia to use IMAX cameras throughout.
