"Empire" film magazine released new stills from the live-action movie "Borderlands", in which all the leading actors of the film appeared together, with Little Crank right in the most inconspicuous lower left corner. Previously, Gearbox founder Randy Pitchford said that the live-action "Borderlands" movie is the first movie to open the "Borderlands" movie universe. The live-action Borderlands movie will be released on August 9, starring Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Edgar Ramirez, Ariana Greenblatt, Florian Munteanu, Gina Gershon and Jamie Lee Curtis. Lilith (Blanchett), a notorious treasure hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home planet of Pandora in search of the missing daughter of Atlas (Ramirez), the most powerful asshole in the universe. She forms an unlikely alliance with a ragtag crew of accomplices - Roland (Hart), once a respected soldier now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a savage teenage demolition expert; Krieg (Monteanu), Tina's muscled, speech-impaired protector; Tanis (Curtis), a well-informed scientist; and Cleaver Trap (Blake), a chattering, intelligent robot. These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect a missing girl who may wield unimaginable powers. The fate of the universe may rest in their hands—but they'll be fighting for something far more important: each other. |
