As early as July 2017, there was news that CCTV would co-produce an animation work called "Nezha and Transformers" with Hasbro of the United States, and an agreement had been reached. Today, according to foreign media reports, "Nezha and Transformers" has been officially named "Transformers: Nezha" and will premiere on CCTV's prime time in the third quarter of this year.

According to the report, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner said in a speech: "Hasbro is very happy to cooperate with China Central Television. Transformers: Nezha will be broadcast on China Central Television's prime time in the second half of this year. This animation will be a combination of Transformers and Chinese mythological characters, and the entertainment looks very good. We are very happy about this cooperation with CCTV."

The report also said that "Nezha and the Transformers" has been officially named "Transformers: Nezha" and will premiere on CCTV in the third quarter of this year. It will currently only be broadcast in China, but it is very likely to be released globally in the future.
