The Witcher novels are filled with beautiful, almost mystical locations. Despite the series being rooted in Eastern European folklore, some of these locations and places are really hard to create artificially. Netflix is clearly facing these challenges for its upcoming TV adaptation. However, judging by a leaked set photo, it seems that Netflix has managed it pretty well. Recently, the TV series "The Witcher" has been filmed in Hungary (Hungary is the location for many fantasy movies and TV series). Below is the night scene exposed by the Hungarian website Kemma. From the photo, the location is a castle near the lake, surrounded by mist and two moons, which looks beautiful. In addition to this photo, Kemma has previously revealed other photos of the crew during filming in Hungary, but they were not photos taken on the set. |
