Hollywood live-action version of "Your Name" directed by "The Amazing Spider-Man" director

According to Deadline, Hollywood will remake the popular Japanese animated film "Your Name", which will be directed by Marc Webber, the director of the "Amazing Spider-Man" series. It is unknown whether this popular animation in 2016 can be reborn under the big hand of Hollywood.

The Hollywood remake of "Your Name" tells the story of a young Native American woman living in a rural area and a young man from Chicago who discover that they can magically switch bodies with each other, but only intermittently. But when disaster strikes and threatens their lives, they must work together to save their world.

Paramount and Bad Robot Pictures have acquired the rights to remake the popular Japanese animated film Your Name from new partner Toho Co., Ltd. Bad Robot Films director J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: Episode 8/9) will work with Genki Kawamura, the producer behind the original film, and his previous partner, executive producer Lindsay Webber (The Cloverfield Paradox), as executive producers, and an Oscar-nominated screenwriter has also joined the new film.

Your Name

Among them, Toho will be responsible for the distribution of the new remake in Japan, and Paramount will be responsible for the distribution in other parts of the world. The specific release date has not yet been announced.
