DC's "Shazam!" costumes cost over $10 million to 3D print, perfectly fitting

The new DC comic adaptation "Shazam!" was nicknamed "Shazam" by netizens because he is cute and silly, and of course this muscle suit is also very eye-catching. Little did people know that this suit is very expensive. According to "Total Film", costume designer Leah Butler said that each set of Shazam's suits cost millions of dollars, and a total of 10 sets were made. This means that more than 10 million US dollars were burned just to make the suits.

"Shazam" Billy Batson first appeared in 1940. Leah Butler revealed that the design of the battle suit would inevitably refer to the comic image of that year, but it also drew inspiration from the "New 52" comic image.

This suit is designed as a muscle-fitting spandex jacket, and each muscle has been stretched and pressed to fit the body and shape of the actor Zachary Levi. Of course, there are a lot of electronic devices on the suit, and batteries are installed to make the logo on the chest glow. "It took 16 weeks to build this suit, and we had to scan and 3D print Zachary Levi's body first, and we had to start making the suit before he started strict fitness and diet." Leah Butler said.

He finally said that the cost of these combat suits alone was more than twice the total cost of director David F. Sandberg's previous masterpiece "Lights Out" (US$4.9 million).

"Shazam!" will be released in North America on April 5.
