Jolie's crime film "Mysterious Jigsaw" will be adapted into an American TV series based on the best-selling novel of the same name

The crime thriller "Jigsaw" starring Angelina Jolie is confirmed to be brought to the small screen, and NBC has officially announced that it has ordered a pilot episode of the show.

The series, titled Lincoln, will be based on Jeffery Deaver's bestselling novel The Bone Collector, which was adapted into a 1999 film of the same name, starring Angelina Jolie and Denzel Washington.

The series "Lincoln" will focus on legendary forensic criminologist Lincoln Ream, who was seriously injured while hunting down a serial killer known as "The Bone Collector". When the murderer reappears, Lincoln begins to work with a young policewoman, Amelia Sachs, to track down the murderer.

In the 1999 film Puzzle, Lincoln and Amelia were played by Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie, respectively. The original novel was first published in 1997 and there are 11 volumes in the series. The series will be drawn from the entire series.

Universal Television and Sony Pictures Television will produce and distribute the film in association with Keshet Studios. VJ Boyd (Justified) and Mark Bianculli (Good Neighbors) will write the script.
