American TV series "How I Met Your Mother" will be remade into a 30-episode Chinese version

According to Deadline and other foreign media reports, the popular American TV series "How I Met Your Mother" will be remade into a Chinese version.

At the Asian Television Conference held in Singapore a few days ago, Fox sold the copyright to New Classics Media, which will create a 30-episode, one-hour Chinese drama version (the American drama version is 30 minutes per episode), and is expected to still focus on the love and life, laughter and tears of a group of young men and women.

The American TV series How I Met Your Mother premiered in 2005 and ended in 2014, with 9 seasons and 208 episodes. There are also Russian and Middle Eastern remakes of the series.

Gina Brogi, head of Fox Television, said she believes "How I Met Your Mother" will resonate with young people in China, which will benefit the show's performance in the Chinese market. "Recently, China has become more active in local production; their production level has really improved a lot, using their own stars to shoot their own content," she said.

In addition, Fox also sold the remake rights of "The Last Man" to India, "Awakening" to Russia, and "This Is Us" to France and the Netherlands.
