Director: The length of "Avengers 4" will exceed that of "Avengers 3"!

According to foreign media reports, the MCU jointly created by Disney and Marvel has attracted countless audiences around the world. This year's "Avengers 3" also broke many box office records. Recently, director Joe Russo announced the editing progress and current length of "Avengers 4" through Instagram.

"'Avengers 4' is currently about three hours long," said Joe Russo. "We'll see if that's appropriate, but for now, it's three hours."

The film is in post-production, how is the progress? Joe said: "We are halfway through editing. We are matting the special effects shots. The film has more than 3,000 special effects shots, which requires a lot of time, ideas, energy and effort. We are still in the early stages of special effects production. We have also just started working with Aaron Silvestra, the composer, and we are still editing."

Someone asked Joe if it was really possible for Disney to eventually release a three-hour movie, to which he replied that Disney and Marvel did not impose any restrictions on them regarding the length of the film.

He also said that he thinks Endgame will exceed the 149-minute runtime of Endgame. "It's easy to get to three hours, but it's not easy to handle the material," he explained. "We want to find a rhythm. I'm sure we will do it... I think it will be longer than Endgame."

Earlier, Kevin Feige, CEO of Marvel Studios, revealed that the first trailer of Avengers 4 is expected to be released this year. When a netizen asked about this, Joe Russo also played Tai Chi: "You may or may not see this trailer before the calendar turns to 2019."

"Avengers 4" will be released in North America on May 3, 2019.
