Christie's auction house in the United States announced on the 21st local time that the portrait of Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol, the advocate and leader of pop art and one of the most famous artists in the 20th century art world, will be auctioned in May, and the industry estimates that the price will reach 200 million US dollars.

•Andy Warhol (August 6, 1928 - February 22, 1987), known as one of the most famous figures in the art world of the 20th century, is an advocate and leader of Pop Art and the artist who has the greatest influence on Pop Art. He boldly tried various reproduction techniques such as relief printing, rubber or wood rubbing, gold leaf technology, photo projection, etc.

In addition to being a leader of pop art, Warhol was also a film producer, writer, rock composer, publisher, and a star artist in New York's social and art circles. In 2014, his portrait of Mao Zedong was auctioned in the UK for a high price of 7.6 million pounds (about 76.63 million yuan).
