HBO's series "Watchmen" released its first stills! Mysterious man appeared

According to foreign media reports, the HBO series "Watchmen", adapted from the classic DC comics, recently released its first promotional photo and asked a classic question from the comics: "Who watches the watchmen?" The mysterious man in the photo is wearing a police uniform and an orange mask.

"Watchmen" is a classic comic book novel created by cartoonists Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons that has won the Hugo Award. It was first published in 12 issues between 1986 and 1987, and later compiled into a book, becoming a best-selling picture book novel.

The work tells the story of the social world during the Cold War and criticizes traditional superheroism. The story has its own independent universe, which is different from the universe where Superman, Batman and other DC characters save the world.

Zack Snyder adapted the comic into a movie of the same name in 2009. But it is reported that the series version will not strictly follow the original comic adaptation, but will be inspired by the original in terms of plot; it is not a remake of the movie.

The HBO version of "Watchmen" is developed by Damon Lindelof, the screenwriter of "Lost", "Prometheus" and "The Leftovers". The cast of the series includes: Jeremy Irons ("Batman v Superman"), Regina King ("The Leftovers", "American Crime"), Don Johnson ("Fake Money"), Louis Gossett Jr. ("Legend"), Tim Blake Nelson ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt", "Klondike"), etc.

The series will premiere next year.
