Hollywood horror director James Wan's team will participate in the remake of "Train to Busan"

According to foreign media reports, the remake rights of the popular Korean zombie movie "Train to Busan" two years ago were acquired by the French film company Gaumont. Recently, Gaumont announced new developments in the remake and will cooperate with the film company of the famous Hollywood horror film director, Chinese-American director James Wan.

Gaumont announced that it will cooperate with Atomic Monsters, the new generation leader of Hollywood horror films, James Wan, to jointly develop and produce the film. The film has been confirmed to be written by Gary Dauberman, the screenwriter of IT, The Nun, and Annabelle: Creation. With such a team's escort, the quality of the film is more guaranteed.

According to foreign media reports, five Hollywood companies tried to bid for the North American rights to the film. These five companies are New Line, Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate and Screen Gems (which produced the "Resident Evil" series). According to the latest reports, New Line Cinema has finally won the rights to the film. Films such as "The Nun" and "The Conjuring" produced by James Wan's team were all distributed by New Line, so it seems reasonable to win the copyright.

"Train to Busan" is a horror disaster film directed by Yeon Sang-ho. The story tells that the government tries to whitewash but fails to cover up the fact that zombies are rampant. Passengers on a train to Busan will experience a hellish journey. After the film was released, it earned 87.54 million US dollars at the global box office, becoming one of the best-selling films of the year. The sequel "Peninsula: Train to Busan 2" will continue to be directed by Yeon Sang-ho and is expected to start filming next year.
