The second season of "Game of Thrones" prequel "House of the Dragon" will premiere on HBO in June 2024. JB Perrette, head of streaming and games at Warner Bros. Discovery Channel, revealed the news in an interview recently. "House of the Dragon" is adapted from George R. R. Martin's novel "Fire and Blood" and tells the story of the Targaryen family. The timeline is set nearly 200 years before the story of "Game of Thrones" and about 100 years after the Targaryen family agreed to the Seven Kingdoms. The 10-episode first season of "House of the Dragon" premiered in August 2022 and was renewed for a second season just one week later, bringing record-breaking ratings to HBO. |
