Laurence Fishburne, the actor who played Morpheus in "The Matrix" and the "Beggars' Sect Leader" in "John Wick", will star in the fourth season of the live-action American TV series adaptation of "The Witcher", playing a fan-favorite character, Geralt's friend, the vampire Regis. Regis first appeared in Sapkowski's original novel Baptism of Fire. According to Netflix, Regis will play the role of "a barber surgeon with a mysterious past." In the announcement, the actor said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the cast and look forward to exploring the fantastical world of The Witcher.” Season 4 was also the first season to feature Liam Hemsworth as Geralt after Henry Cavill left the show. |
