God of War and Horizon are still in the script writing stage

Recently, Sony has adapted many of its PlayStation masterpieces into film and television works. Following "The Last of Us", "Uncharted", "Chariots of Fire" and "Gran Turismo", many more works are about to meet the audience. In 2022, Sony announced that the live-action series "God of War" will be broadcast on Amazon Prime Video, and the "Horizon" series will be launched on Netflix. At Sony's CES 2024 press conference, Sony made a brief update on these two works.

According to Sony, the script writing of the two series "God of War" and "Horizon" is in progress. At present, not many details have been announced for the two series, including casting information.

However, it has been confirmed that Rafe Judkins of "The Wheel of Time" will serve as the producer of the "God of War" series, Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby of "The Expanse" will serve as screenwriters, and Cory Barlog, director of "God of War 4", will serve as executive producer.

In December 2022, Vernon Sanders, head of Amazon Studios' television department, said that the "God of War" series will be "highly faithful to the original work, while also being self-contained."
